IMU stages jobs fair for graduates

Inner Mongolia University in Hohhot recently staged a job fair for students being taught their majors in the Mongolian language and who graduate in 2020, aiming to build a communications platform for graduates and employers.

According to IMU officials, the jobs fair in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Nov 9 invited over 170 companies and institutions in and out of the region to come recruiting and about 2,000 graduates came to find jobs.

More than 300 Mongolian language-taught students submitted a total of 602 resumes to employers and about 23 percent got some form of contractual commitment.

Among participating enterprises, 54 offered Mongolian language-related positions that covered many fields -- including electronics, logistics, education, agriculture and animal husbandry -- and provided a total of 319 jobs for students who major in both the Mongolian language and Chinese.

Furthermore, there were 116 enterprises offering 734 positions to all graduates in industries covering construction, food, energy and chemicals, science and technology, education and other fields.
